The cooking area is a bright and open plan room with cooking stations. The dining area is located one floor above. The biggest appeal is by far the convivial atmosphere of every cooking class. The learning experience is reminiscent of learning to cook with one’s grandmother. Each diligent student gets a cooking station and then begins the culinary journey.

The teachers at Bai Pai Cooking School all speak English and classes are very easy to follow. The instructor will begin with an outline of the four dishes to prepare during the class. The head chef then begins with a practical demonstration, enough to make everyone’s mouth water. The class is interactive and all students are free to ask any questions about ingredients and appropriate seasoning. As one would say, there’s no such thing as a foolish question. The instructors and chefs will patiently provide an answer to every question with traditional Thai poise and patience. After the demonstration, comes practice.
