Royal City Avenue – more commonly known as RCA – is the heart of Bangkok’s clubbing scene. RCA is the favorite place for young people in Bangkok to congregate and have a fun night. Officially designated nightlife zone, it also has many other attractions. Home of many clubbing institutions like Route 66 and Slim, the area is packed every night and especially on weekends.

The music at clubs here varies from DJ parties to live concerts from greater Thailand and local artists. Any night of the week will guarantee fun and excitement. While RCAcannot be reached by public transportation, it’s just a short motorcycle ride from the MRT or Bangkok subway line. Block A is closest to Rama 9 Road, and, at the opposite end, Block D leads onto Petchaburi Road, both of which have MRT stations.

Many young people in Bangkok will confess to at least one foggy night of good fun at RCA. Mostly frequented by well-dressed young professionals, it is one of just three government-designated nightlife zones in the city. However, the street is more than just a drinking and party spot. There’s go-kart racing, art cinema, bowling, a golf driving range, shopping and plenty of restaurants and cafes.
